... and an additional interactive surprise.
Hello All!!! It's the 3rd Thursday of the month and if you follow along with @JennShurkus 's #getcrackingonchristmas you know it's that time of month to work on some Christmas/holiday cards. There is also a new SUMMER RELEASE from Lawn Fawn which is super adorable. You should check out the great inspiration on their YouTube Channel.

I started with stamping some Lawn Fawn images with a copic friendly ink. I colored these images with copic markers. See some of my notes on both sides of the sheet for some of the marker colors. Full disclosure I colored these images about 2 years ago but never got around to using them on a project. Sound familiar :) ?! Most of these images are from a SSS Stampenber Collab set that is no longer available but I provide some links to some alternative Lawn Fawn sets that could be used if you wanted to recreate a similar card. I colored on Neenah 80lb CS.

These images were then die cut using the coordinating dies.
CARD 1

I cut out and assembled the Lawn Fawn Platform Pop-Up from 110lb. White CS (see assembly instructions on LF YouTube channel). I also die cut the Hillside wrap around from Doodlebug patterned paper. The backdrop is cut from LF Fog CS using the Platform Pop up then cut is again using the Stitched Mountain borders. The tops of the mountain are cut from white glitter CS.

For the middle insert, I wanted to also have the image move side to side so I made a swing mechanism using some plastic packaging. The hole was made with a hole punch and the round white "things" are stacked circles from a die for a snow ball. Before I glues this to the insert tab added some slim small card stock strips stacked (not pictured) to act as stoppers on each side of the packing strip to prevent it from falling all the way to the side. I then added a back to this making sure I did not glue to the clear plastic. You can see how this move in my instagram stories.
The back hill insert I made from a piece of card stock and a hillside border so it is higher than the ones in the hillside insert dies.
The glitter snow flakes and the speech bubble are added with strips of clear plastic packaging so they appear to be floating.
The sentiment for card 1 is stamped with Versafine ink and white heat embossed on C9 Poppy CS. Die cut using the coordinating die. See product listing below.
CARD 2

This second card was assembled very much the same as card 1 but I did not add the moving image in the middle for this one.
I also added Stickles to images and snow hills on both cards for some extra shine and sparkle.
The pop up is pretty versatile and can be used to make a number of different scenes and themes from you stash of dies and stamps. The card folds flat and I added a push here and arrow to the bottom (see my IG stories) so the recipient knows how the card pops up.
These were so fun to make I think I am hooked and may go back into my extra colored images and make a few more. So Get Cracking on Christmas!!!
