Oh Christmas Tree! |Ink Blot Shop

This card was actually pretty easy to make. First I stamped the Christmas Ornaments Background with Memento Black ink. Then I grabbed a few of my favorite Concord & 9th and SSS Pawsitively saturated inks. I used the coordinating Christmas Ornaments Layering background stencil and inked a number of the ornaments in a rainbow of colors, starting with a lighter shade of the color then inking the bottoms of the ornaments in a slightly darker shade to give a little depth.

Before I cut out all the ornaments I took the stencil with the open ornaments and used it to cover the ornaments with Tim Holtz Distress Sparkle Paste. It goes on super thing and gives a nice flecked sparkle. Once the paste dried I used my Brother Scan-N-Cut to cut out the ornaments.

The ornaments were laid out and mounted with a little 3M foam tape and some glue. I used a blueberry piece of CS from MFT and inked the edges with Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot Distress Oxide around the edges. I stamped the sentiment from Holiday Time sentiment with Versa Mark ink and white heat embossed. The card front was then mounted on a 4 1/4 X 5 1/2 in. top folding card base.

The final touches... Adding Trinity Stamps red satin Baubles and stamped the ornaments from the Festive borders stamp set to have a coordinating envelope. I added a star from the Chunky Sentiments set. Colored it with Copic Y15, Y38 and added glossy accents.

Hope you are getting time for your holiday making!
