Hello Friends today I am part of an Instagram Hop with Simon Says Stamp. I am sharing a non-card/paper crafting project. For this project I cut out felt using the Stitching Birdie Die. I used wool felt from Poshta Design. I stitched the main body of the bird with DMC 6 Floss using 4 strands. To assemble the wing I simply glued the pieces together and attached to the body of the bird using Gina K glue. I laid something heavy on it until dry.... or use revers tweezers. I did the same for the front and back of the bird. For the beak, I cut it out twice from felt and once from orange CS. I glued the CS in between the 2 felt piece for some stability. I then glued it in the opening without stitching hole. I used my reverse tweezers to hold closed while drying. For the hanger I used a larger upholstery needle and stitched some twine through the top of the bird. The eye ball is a black bauble from This Call for Confetti. I then pulled both the string into the needle and strung the 3 beads. The beads are from Amazon and I'll link below. I hold glued the bow I made from some Offray gingham ribbon I had in my stash.

This project using the same SSS Stitching Birdie die and my first project. I used a rainbow of felt from Poshta Designs and Benzie Designs. All the birds where assembled the same as the my project above. To make the garland I took the same upholstery needle and some twine and strung the wool felt ball (from Benzie) and then manuvered the need thru each of the birds. One point to note. The birds are top heavy so when I hang this garland up it needs to lay against something or the birds flip upside down. If I made this again I'd have to figure out a better way to attach/string together so more weight is distribute on the bottom. I wanted them to be end to end but just wanted to mention my design flaw.😝
