Using your stamp images for a different purpose

Ink Blot Shop|Looks like a Cookie to me

Full Product listing linked at bottom of the page.

Do you ever look at a stamp image and think I know it's supposed to be X but it looks like Y? That's what happened to me here. There is an image of a ball in the Ink Blot Shop Playful Pups set but it looked like a Chocolate Chip Cookie as well. So that's what I used it for.

I stamped a number of images with Memento Onyx black ink which is a copic friendly ink. I colored the images using E00, E31, E33 and the chips where E37.

Once the I had a number of images colored, I die cut them out using the a small circle die from Hero Arts Nested Circles. I believe it's the second smallest. I then cut a number of additional circles from scrap white Cardstock and stacked/glued them to my colored pieces. This adds dimension and stability.

I used a vanilla CS and cut it to 4x5 1/4. I think this CS is 120lb Recollections from Michael's. To make it look a little "baked" I inked the edges with Distress Ink in Antique Linen and Brushed Courderoy

I placed all the images to cover the background panel and and trimmed the images hanging off the sides. TIP: Keep the cut pieces to fill in additional spaces along the edge. The card was then mounted to a top folding card base using Neenah Desert Storm 110 CS. Because I always have to keep adding something I glued some Trinity Coffee Bean hearts on there. A perfect opportunity to use these cuties.

The sentiment was heat embossed with white embossing powder on black CS using the Ink Blot Shop Sentiment Block Labels set. I liked this for the card because it obviously goes with the cookies... =treats. The card can also be used from Birthday, Thank you, etc. and is perfect for adding a gift card to.

To top it off I used a complimentary yellow envelope and stamped a sentiment on the back flap of the envelope using Ink Blot Shop Arts & Crafts Sentiments. Which is a nice little touch for the recipient.
