Erin Lee Creative Kit| Changing the look and feel of a die and stencil
ErinLee Creative was kind enough to send me her latest kit release to use and promote it's release Oct 1. The new "All the Feels" kit comes with a sentiment stamp set a, small emoji face stamp set pictured above, 2 dies, a stencil, and some cute clay happy face embellishments. It can be used for so many occasions.
For my first card I wanted to use the stencil to create a rainbow back drop. The stencil comes with different emoji facial expressions that can be popped out. I popped all the faces out and stenciled the dots with distress oxide. I used Ranger Distress Oxide in estive berries, picked raspberry, carved pumpkin, squeezed lemonade, twisted citron, salvaged patina, & wilted violet. I overlapped the colors as I went.
Once I finished the background dots I popped all the happy face images (repeating some to fill in all the spaces) back in and stenciled the expressions with black soot Distress Oxide.
-The die cut smiley face is die cut from the enclosed die in holographic CS and Black CS to fill in the eyes and smile. The die cut is back with 3 die cut circles to provide dimension. The eyes are covered with glossy accents.
- The sentiment is from the stamp set in the kit stamped with VersaFine black and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.
- The heart is just layered die cuts and topped with glossy accents
- The card panel is backed with 2 CS panels and layered on the violet card base.
This card was inspired my one of the sentiments in the kit stamp set. So the background is done similarly to the first card. Used a gray ink on SSS Fog CS. I then stenciled all the sad face images in each of the circles with Black Soot Distress Oxide.
I wanted the background of the card to contrast with the main die cut image of the smiley face die. I used CS strip in a rainbow of color. I glued these down on a piece of copy paper. Then I die cut the face and filled in the details with black. The die cut was backed with 3 die cut circles for dimension.
The sentiment is from the enclosed set stamped in Wilted Violet Distress oxide and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I cut the strips with a sentiment label die and popped it up on the card.
The hear embellishments are from Trinity Stamps.
The last card is very similar to the 2nd one.
The smiley face was die cut the same way as described above but on this card I heat embossed with multiple layers of clear heat embossing powder.
The background is stenciled with an older MFT sunshine stencil in Squeezed Lemonade & Wild Honey distress oxide.
The sentiment is from a previously release kit by ErinLee Creative and is stamped with black VersaFIne Black ink and clear heat embossed directly on the card.
Heart Embellishments are Trinity Stamps boiled sugar jelly drop hearts.
Hope you enjoyed my take on the kit and it gives you some ideas on how to use some items in your stash.
Once again I can’t pick a favorite. Absolutely love what created with this really fun kit!
