Nuttin' but Die Cuts

Christmas Card making all year long #GetCrakingonChristmas

Full list of Products link at the bottom

My name is Susan and I have a Christmas addiction. Anyone else? My addiction to anything Christmas, especially Christmas/Holiday stamps and dies are my kryptonite. I buy multiple sets every year and typically never get to use them for that year's holiday cards. Last year I began participating is Jenn Shurkus's "Get Cracking on Christmas". I use a different set each month to make some Christmas cards. This way I use my cute purchases and maybe will have enough cards to send by December.

These cards used products primarily from Concord & 9th. But I mixed in a number of other products I had in my stash for added interest. I did a bunch of die cutting using the nutcracker from Concord and 9th Winter Wonderland Die set. This set goes a long way with a lot of great dies to create different scenes and a great snow globe die. It's very versatile. I typically do my die cutting in bulk while watching the TV at night.

The Plaid stamping at the bottom was made with the C9 Plaid turnabout stamp. I believe most of the inks were C9 and SSS Pawsitively saturated inks match to the CS colors listed below. The Background was made using PinkFresh Sparkling Diamonds Cover plate. Cut my plaid stamp backgrounds, added a sentiment from Avery Elle Nutcrackers and glued a gold CS strip to the top and bottom of the sentiment strip. I lined up the nutcrackers along the sentiment. I cut and stacked them with 2 extra die cuts. Then added a little bling with some Gold Baubles from Trinity Stamps.

These two cards use the same nutcrackers from C9 Winter Wonderland. I glued them on an angle for additional interest. I got this idea from Jennifer McQuire's video.

This card I uses a pierced background cover plate die (I lost the packaging so not sure where I got it from). Then I stamped the sentiment diagonally. Laying the die cuts at the same angle. I cut the extra off the edges once the glue as dried.

For this card I did the same thing, glueing the die cuts at an angle. I used a sentiment from the Avery Elle Nutcracker set. For the background I filled in with dots using matching copic marker colors and a gold sharpie paint pen.

For this last card I did a mini slimline card using some of the scraps I had from the pierced white background using the PinkFresh Sparkling Diamonds die and a strip from the the cut from the stamped backgrounds used on the previous cards. The sentiment is from SSS Christmas Blessings stamped and white heat embossed on Black Distress Cardstock.
